v2.3 Release

Today I’m releasing Version 2.3 of YORG.io. The main feature is a revamped saving system:

You can now simply press the save button to create a new savegame, or update your active savegame. There is no limit to how many savegames you can have.

Using the Import button you can import previous text-based savegames. You can also delete your savegames or export them to store them yourself.

Savegames are stored locally, so when you clear your browsers storage, your savegames will also get lost. If you have very important savegames, make sure to also backup them yourself.

Further changes:

  • Days now no longer get longer past day 100. They scaled exponentially so far, and thus at day 1000, a day would take over two hours.
  • Visualizers in the bottom left are now also properly updated while paused.
  • Fix a bug regarding the network recomputation, where it sometimes would get stuck. Please report any issues!
  • Added a FAQ page, you can find it in the footer on the welcome screen. This includes frequently asked questions. Feel free to link it whenever you see any related question!

    1. You can still export to text by using the small “download” icon. Duplicating works if you export is as text and reimport it πŸ™‚ This might remove you from the leaderboard though.

  1. Recalculating the network takes over one hour for me now. This seriously needs improvement. Also, this game triggers opera crashes (yes, it’s an opera bug, not a yorg bug, but anyways) which I assume happens due to the network recalculation – another reason, why this should be improved.

    1. Looks like if are many saved games. It can save anymore. I delete some saved games and works again. Please give us a feature like pressing X for example, to quickly delete a game. Is very tedious to delete over 100 games. 😦

  3. I found the gap between regular and hard massive! Regular can get boring quite fast, while hard is way too challenging to avoid micro managing individual walls during early raids and so on.
